Dock Sales Associate

Essential Functions:
- Take customer orders in person or over the phone who want to pick up produce from our facility
- Collect payments and operate the cash register
- Respond to customer inquires
- Research required information using available resources
- Handle and resolve customer complaints
- Provide customers with product and service information
- Sell additional products by recognizing opportunities to upsell accounts; explaining new, seasonal or featured products
- Load customer orders on trucks, trailers, and vehicles with forklift, pallet jack or by hand when needed
- Responsible for assisting with pulling assigned customer orders
- Assign and palletize orders for selectors as needed
- Secure and wrap pallets by hand to ensure product stability during transport
- Report damages, shortages or quality issues to supervisor
- Will be trained to operate equipment(e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks) safely in accordance with company and OSHA standards
- Assign and assist with re-pack activities as needed to support operational demands
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Comply with all applicable OSHA and Food Safety regulations

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Sales and produce experience is preferred but open to training the right candidate
- Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office and common E-Mail systems
Work Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (5:00am – 1:00pm)
Compensation:
- $21.00/hour
Physical Demands:
- Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for short periods of time
- Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand or sit for long periods of time
